The NMG Group is a multi-national financial advisory and intermediary services organization, whose South African operations, collectively named NMG Benefits, enjoy a 30 year history. Through the carefully controlled acquisition of niche, well managed businesses and an impressive cycle of organic growth, NMG SA (“NMG”) has become a respected entity in both the healthcare and retirement fund arenas.

NMG provides consulting, actuarial and administration expertise in the healthcare and retirement fund environments, and this extends to financial planning for individuals. NMG also consults as a short term broker to both the man in the street and corporates.

This allows NMG to provide an end-to-end solution across the healthcare, retirement fund and financial planning needs of employers and their employees.

NMG holds appointments to many blue chip South African organisations and has in excess of 200 staff operating throughout South Africa. With over 100,000 principal members that it consults to on healthcare matters and closing in on 100,000 retirement fund members, it ranks as a significant player in employee benefits.

NMG is completely independent in the sourcing of product providers, which is done with specific reference to the needs of its clients and their constituents. This enables NMG to work with all the industry participants and benefit from their experience and knowledge.

Furthermore, NMG is able to provide completely independent assessments of the capabilities of the various industry providers as well as work with a diverse team of experts who specialise in their particular disciplines.

NMG has recently strengthened its empowerment credentials with direct black ownership of 19% of the business through Prolan Investments, a 100% black owned business.
